CHATEAU D'AIGLE

Chateau d'Aigle at the mouth of the Rhone Valley is one of Switzerland's finest medieval castles. Originally built in the 12th Century for the Barons of Aigle, the present castle dates from 1484 and has been owned by the Community of Aigle since 1804. The castle was converted from a prison to a museum in 1976.
TECHNICAL NOTES
The image was taken with a tripod-mounted Phase One 645 Camera at ISO 400 in failing light. The aperture was F16 to maximise depth of field with an exposure of 1.4 seconds. 150 mm Schneider-Kreuznach telephoto lens with leaf shutter. The image was captured on a Phase One IQ180 80 megapixel digital back. Shadow areas have been opened using Capture One.
