MAPLE TREE
CLOUDEHILL GARDENS, OLINDA, VICTORIA
IMAGE NUMBER 1198
Cloudehill is a spectacular commercial garden in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, at an altitude of 580 metres. The garden has deep volcanic loam soil and 1.25 metres of rainfall. There is little frost. These factors help explain why this is one of the outstanding places to garden worldwide. Cloudehill is known for its meadows of daffodils and other bulbs in spring. The jewel is this Japanese maple tree, imported from Japan in 1928.
