STONE BRIDGE, CHARTREUSE FRANCE
Image Number 9
The Chartreuse is a mountain range in south-eastern France, stretching north from the city of Grenoble to the Lac du Bourget. It is the southernmost range in the Jura Mountains and belongs to the French Prealps. It is an idyllic woodland with medieval remains often appearing like follies in the mists. Chartreuse is also the home of the world famous liqueur, made by monks for over 300 years.
