GRUYERES, SWITZERLAND

Image Number 29

Gruyeres, in South-West Switzerland is celebrated not simply for its world-famous cheese, but for its medieval village and great castle.  But Atticus Webb loved Gruyeres and the road south through the Saanen Valley because it is a wonderland of traditional Swiss farms and ancient wooden houses.  This town house is within the city of Gruyeres itself.
